Registration opens at 9.30am and will close at 10.50. If you are late and you cannot collect your race pack in time you will not be allowed to run the race! The Race starts at 11.00 am

Snacks and Drinks

There is a tea room at Fyne Court from which you can purchase drinks, sandwiches and cakes. Fyne Court is a National Trust Property and is a lovely place to stay for a picnic afterwards. We have use of the hall until 4.00 pm, so you are all welcome to stay and explore with family and friends afterward.

Race Start

The start is on the road outside Fyne Court. We will announce the start 10 minutes before to allow tine to walk up. We will not delay the start of either race! There is no road closure in place, but we will stop traffic for the first part of the race which is on the road. At the end of the race, when you come back onto the road, please be aware that the road is open and watch out for cars.

During the Race

The Quantock Beast is a challenging hilly course. Please only consider running the race if you are fit enough. If you have an injury or any other medical problem during the race please make your way to the nearest marshal point where you will be assessed. St John’s Ambulance will be in attendance. There will be a tail runner if you get into difficulties. Please also make sure you look out for the signs and tape and don’t just follow the runner in front or just look down!! The course is quite muddy, so you may wish to consider Trail shoes.

The Quantocks is an area of outstanding natural beauty so there is a zero tolerance litter policy. If you have any gel or other wrappers or anything else please take them to the next marshal point. All marshal points will have bin bags for litter collection. Also if you see any wrappers or other litter on the route please pick it up to take to the next marshal point.

The Finish Area

The Finish line is inside Fyne Court, outside the Tea Room. Please take care and watch out for other National Trust users as we don’t have exclusive use of Fyne Court. Once you pass the finish line you will get your medal.
