Sunday 12th Oct 2014 - The Castle Cary 10k is now in its second year and this multi terrain 10k, hosted by 1610 Leisure and the Caryford Fitness and Leisure centre and supported by Total Buzz Events. The tough undulating route sees you take in breath taking scenery, including views of Glastonbury Tor, King Alfred's Tower and Bruton Lodge Hill Fort.

Sat 24th May 2014 - RUN A MILE AND MAKE HISTORY THIS SPRING! In 2013 thousands of people of all ages and abilities took to The Mall and finished outside Buckingham Palace in the inaugural Bupa Westminster Mile. There are races for everyone and all abilities - families, fun runners, elite juniors and male and female wheelchair users. Sign up to this exciting event to make British history sixty years after Sir Roger Bannister was the first person to break that four minute barrier. The elite junior races will incorporate the UK Road Mile Age Group Championships. To enter one of the elite junior races please email email@example.com. Friday 30th May 2014 - London to Cardiff 24hr Team Relay, this is a unique team experience. There are two options, one doing the full event with 12 runners and another doing the day light hours with a team of 6. The challenge starts in London in the Twickenham area on Friday 30th May and finishes in Cardiff in Millennium stadium on Saturday 31st evening. There are 24 stages which vary from 20 minutes running to 2 hours. These vary in distance and time of day not to mention terrain. Saturday 7th June 2014 - Umborne Ug 10k at 6.00pm. The Ug is nearly 10k and somewhat undulating with about 3k on road and the rest on tracks and paths. www.axevalleyrunners.org.uk. If you would prefer to walk the route instead, then a group of walkers will set off at 5.00 pm to walk about 4 miles of the course. A great chance to explore private land with superb views. There is also a 2.5k Fun Run starting at 6.10 pm with prizes and mementos. Lots of drinks bar, cakes & BBQ at the hall afterwards. Rather than an entry fee, entry is by donations on the day although numbers can be reserved by the completion of the attached form. Sunday 20th June 2014 - The 2nd Chew Valley 10k & 1k will be run on Sunday 22nd June 2014 at 9.30am. The 10k event is UKA affiliated and chip-timed, all 10k and 1k runners will receive a goody bag and medal and it is a gorgeous, rural, traffic-free route with a big hill, set in the back-drop of the Mendip Hills. There will be live music, a mass warm-up, bbq, homemade cakes and refreshments from 8am for supporters and runners alike!
